Stop #2 (10:30 a.m.):  Sitting at the base of the Fountain formation in boulders from the Fountain.  Across the road behind Emmett is 1.6-1.7 billion year old Pre-Cambrian granite.  The granite uplifted and weathered, then the sands of the Fountain formation were deposited on top of this.
