Parshall, CO - Fossil Plants
9/2/2006

The age of this new fossil plant site hasn't been determined.  It's estimated to be Miocene (23.8 to 5.3 mya) to Oligocene (33.7 to 23.8 mya).

Detailed site information is not included on these pages.  The site is on National Forest Service land and I've made an agreement with the NFS paleontologist not to reveal the location.

All fossils collected (link below) were donated to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS) for a new collection on 9/14/06.  Collectors were members of the Western Interior Paleontological Society (WIPS) including: Tom, Gail & Katie Nelson; Steven & Karen Reinhold; and Steve Wagner.
